Scanner
Yesterday, I had a discussion on Facebook with my sister about collecting Vaseline glass, which glows under black-lights.
Today I'm the one who should glow in the dark, as it is time for scans again. This should be my last one on the six month schedule, and the next should be a year from now. I've had all the PET/CT scans insurance will pay for, and now I'm getting a combo of CAT and bone scans.
Both involve drinking contrast liquid and a radioactive injection. I have to admit I kind of enjoy the bitter tonicwater taste of the contrast liquid. I just have trouble remembering what kind of routine I should follow beforehand. Part of the confusion results from switching types of scanning on short notice because insurance. I was prepared for one, then got the other. But there are worse types of medical investigative procedures to have. The only complaint about doing it annually is that I just hit my deductible on one visit. So now I'm guaranteed to use my deductible every year, and insurance won't really have to pay out anything.

2nd treatment was last week. went a lot quicker since the office was supposed to close at noon. it still took until about 12:45 for us to be cleared out.
I took nausea meds early and often, and bustled around quite a bit on Thursday, then mom drove down on Friday. She brought Panera, and Friday I got into the lemons DH had harvested this year for a batch of lemon curd.
the one Meyer lemon made it extra mellow. My taste-buds haven't been affected as much this time, so I've been able to eat pretty much everything served.
Pain wasn't as bad over the weekend, because I took pain pills. made DH take me to work on Monday, but ventured to drive in myself Tuesday and Wednesday. I slept each night until I was ready to get around. Bloated up the first of the week, and purged out on Wednesday. Lazed around today, have to be in town early tomorrow for a mammogram and to take care of things at the office.
I wore wigs the three days of work, just not real thrilled with the idea yet. Kind of like LiLei when she's in a mood. 2012-01-23_18-58-55_562

Im beginning treatment and have been told to track how it goes.
Im trying not to post all over but it may take too much brain to prevent leakage into my public channels.
If you want to it will not hurt my feelings if you take me off of anywhere i might show up. I am just warning you that until this is over im in the whiny zone.
Thanks

Rough night. Throat not so sore. Real pain in joints, probably solid 7. Gut motility weird. Slow with mucus. In a normal person gut would be normal. Every joint swollen stiff. If this is what rheumatoid athritis feels like i dont know how anyone deals with it.
Spread my normal two naprosyn out over day, plus tylenol.
