well, it certainly isn't a recent picture ;-D gives us something to look forward to. we've had temps down in the 20s the last couple three nights, and I think I've done just about enough breaking of ice in the water troughs for one winter. at least our electricity hasn't gone out for nearly a week. DH got motivated last weekend to service the generator.
I'm like you, I'm tired of rotating water heaters and busting ice out of water troughs. I've even been caring hot water to the barn to speed up the dethawing process.
